Nice concept...

... but it does need work. The graphics could use some touching up. That's all I really have to say, just work on the graphics. It's hard to make a anti-smoking flash, but I think you did a pretty decent job of getting the point across.

I'm not sure why...

... but these amuse me. I enjoyed the last one and enjoyed this one, too. Randomness is always a bonus, when it's well put together. Good job, keep 'em coming.

Not a big madness fan...

...however, I do like your spin on it. It was different than most of the mindless violence. Well, different in that 'hey, I did more than waste talent and skill' kind of way lol. It had creativity. Good job.

I have a question...

... please, forgive me if I'm not quite catching it. But I don't understand the point to these. All over newgrounds people are submitting flash animations like this one and I'm not quite sure I catch the idea. Is it just randomness? Which would make sense if it is.

Graphics: I've seen N00b Princess do better, so it was a bit disappointing.

Style: Like I said, I don't get it, but it still counts as a style.

Sound: Alot better than most. And I have a weak spot for the music.

Violence: I did like the concept of the house being set ablaze.

Interactivity: 1 because there was more than just a play button.

Humor: It was better than most of what I've seen this week.

Little-Rena responds:

Umm, yeah this was just suppost to be random. This is the best background I have drawn though, lol :S
Anyway, thanks for the review.

Outstanding work

Without question, Honey.

As I've read through the reviews for Suppressed Emotions 1-4 I'm not surprised to find the negativity I did. Certainly, all are allotted their thoughts and feelings toward any sort of art... including Flash... but I could only hope their reviews would be a bit more constructive, rather than ineffectual.

However, I disagree with one thing that was said in your series. Part two. When you said that critism of art requires a bit more tact. I don't believe it takes tact, but rather understanding. Before one can fully grasp the concept of another's work, they must understand it was the interpretation of another, not a factual agreement between the artist and the audience.

I would greatly love to see more of the series. I truly hope it continues as wonderfully as it has thus far.

On a side note, there were reviews stating you should take yourself out of the cartoon, because it didn't 'fit'. Emotions are inexplicable. So we can only strive to best portray them as we feel them. Suppressed emotions are the hardest to identify and the hardest to explain without sounding irrational or unreasonable. Using yourself gives you the opportunity to say what you feel without making blanketed statements of how everyone feels.

Good effort...

... I only suggest that while being inspired by Fat-Pie, understand that inspiration and using the same style are two different things. I can understand the desire to animate like Fat-Pie (a master Flash Artist), but be very careful not to copy his exact style. Understand, I'm not saying you have, I'm saying to be careful. It's a fine line and the potential you have would be wasted. Good luck and thank you for sharing.

Vreal-Studios responds:

Thank you very much for your constructive review! I am being carefull. I tried to get the same "environment" as Fat Pie's style, also because I want to be better to animate. And I really did in the process of making this.
Got a lot of experience.
Thanks.

Fabulous...

...Jeremy Fox may just be my cousin. We should have locked him in a box and buried him. This work is great. The graphics, sound, and ideas are very well put together (as I'm sure you know ;) ) I have no constructive words for this work. Great job. I'm glad I watched it.

PapaQ responds:

Your cousin sure shounds like a great character. Your words are more constructive than you can imagine, thanks.

So wonderful...

... I love this stuff. You're fabulous.

It carries a rhythm

...quite a bit like "The Raven" and "Teltale Heart". It was a good concept and I did watch it all the way to the end. I wasn't thrilled with how much it reminded me of Edgar Allen Poe, almost like a rip off without the rip. Given that we are all inspired by the subconcious memory (or sometimes the conscious) I can't say that it would be right to say anything condemning. The rest I throughly enjoyed and a good piece of work is a good piece of work. Thank you for sharing.

RSQViper responds:

I have actually only ever heard a very small part of "The Raven" which is how I started the thing with a crow.

But, in all honesty I was mostly influenced by Dr Suess and his rhyming scheme. Telltale Heart was also something I've never read or heard, I've no idea what it is actually. :3

Thanks for the review!

Nice job...

Although, you can see where you froze the video quite plainly, it's still a pretty decent job adding the ghostly figure. Not bad, I liked the work.
